“Life is a journey, not a destination.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
I was born in Paraguay, a small country in the middle of South America. Since I was a little girl Ive always wanted to travel the world. When I turned nineteen that dream finally came true thanks to an exchange program that allowed me to travel, earn some money and live abroad. I was so excited about embarking on a new adventure so I packed my suitcases one day and I left home without knowing that that was just the beginning of a fun adventure full of travels.
My first destination was Hawaii! Yes, Hawaii! I lived in Maui for two years. Living there was one of the most incredible experiences ever. I met many wonderful people that helped me become the person I am today. Maui is and will always be my second home. Ive got to explore the island and discovered so many cool places. I have many memories driving around, listening aloha songs, going surfing, drinking Mai Tais and watching sunsets, wales, dolphins and rainbows. Thats a part of my life that I will always treasure because it marked the beginning of my journey as a real traveler. After two years living in Paradise, the time to leave arrived. Even though it was hard to say goodbye, I knew it was time for me to embark on a new chapter in my life.
I went home without really knowing what to do, a few months passed by and I was arriving in another island, Taiwan!. Yes I decided to move to Taiwan to study! Completely unexpected, its funny how life works sometimes! Ive been living here for the past four years. I’m currently a student on my last year of college. Taiwanese people are the most kind and most friendly people I have ever met. Exploring this island is so much fun; the culture, the people, the food, the history is so rich. Every town I visit is very different, this place never cease to amaze me.
Once you are settle in Asia is a lot easier to travel. I visited many interesting countries like the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Burma, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and many others. I learned so much in each one of my trips. I learned a lot about others and I also learned a lot about myself. Travel has been one of my greatest teachers. Im a better person because of it. I feel blessed to be able to do what I love, to be able to share my experiences and to help others to explore this beautiful world.
